My name is Shawanda George-Miller. I was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Elgin, SC. I have lived in Lancaster all of my life, I love sports, and I am a 1995 graduate of Lancaster High School. I attend North Greenville University and received a scholarship to play three sports (Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball). In 1999 I graduate from NGU with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 2002, I began my teaching career at South Middle School as a Computer Keyboarding teacher. Currently I am the Intro to Careers teacher. I then went through an alternative route called PACE to obtain my professional teaching certificate, which I am a certified Business Education teacher. In 2010 I received a Master of Education in Divergent Learner from Columbia College. In June of 2011, I married Chris Miller who teaches Physical Education, Driver's Education and coaches Football at Lancaster High School. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and in 2019 I was inducted into the athletic Hall of Fame for two sports at North Greenville University.
