Students in Ms. Baker's Advertising classes had the opportunity to visit Scott Clark Toyota on Tuesday May 13. They took a tour of the dealership and learned how the different departments work together to provide excellent customer service and a great selection of vehicles to their customers. The emphasis was on their marketing department as well as the SCALE Program they offer to high school students. SCALE is an internship program for juniors and seniors. It is marketing and graphic design based. The students finished the visit with a Chick-fil-a lunch provided by Scott Clark Toyota!

The Ambush Club enjoyed its last official function of the 24-25 school year on May 8 at their 1st Annual Ambush Club Mentor Banquet located at the Multipurpose Building. The Ambush Club also want to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone that made the event special; Administrative Staff & Faculty of the LCSD Career Center, Culinary Instructor Chef Hawkes and his students for preparing the food, SFC Brown (Ret.) and LHS JROTC Cadets for serving the food and being a part of the breakdown crew, Jamari Grier for providing his wonderful voice, three dance preferences by Ms. Leonard LHS Dance Team, and Mrs. Paula Stegall-Lail & Mr. Heyward Law Enforcement Classes for decorating the event. Law Enforcement Services students participated in a field trip to the Lancaster County Council Chambers and County Courthouse on April 30. The students toured the County Courthouse and spent the remainder of the day engaging in a round-robin style session with guest speakers from Lancaster County Government and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. Speakers included: Chief Magistrate Judge Curtisha Ingram, Solicitor Randy Newman Jr., Public Defender Mr. William Fricke, Parks and Recreation Director Mr. Chris Clouden, Sixth Circuit Solicitor’s Office Victim Advocate Ms. Armani Reid, multiple law enforcement officials from the Sheriff's Office (including Lieutenant Aaron Carroll—SWAT Commander and Criminal Investigator OIC), Lancaster County Administrator Mr. Dennis Marstall, Lancaster County Deputy Administrator Mrs. Stephany Snowden, and from Lancaster County EMS, Ms. Monica Graham and Mr. Greg Brasington.
Students gained invaluable insight into county government and the inner workings of the criminal justice system from these subject matter experts who generously gave their time. Special thanks to our host and event coordinator, Lancaster County Deputy Administrator Mrs. Stephany Snowden, and her staff for organizing this outstanding experience for the Law Enforcement Program students at the Lancaster County School District Career Center. What a great day to be a Phoenix!
