Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to begin by extending my sincerest apologies for the confusion and frustration many of you have experienced regarding bus routes for the start of this school year. The safety of your children is our top priority, and I deeply regret that the communication surrounding their transportation has not met the standards you deserve and expect from us.
The information that was shared with you was believed to be accurate at the time of distribution. However, it has become clear that there were significant errors or omissions in the data, which have caused undue stress and concern for many families. I take full responsibility for this situation, and I understand how critical reliable transportation is for our students and families.
Please know that our transportation office is working diligently to correct these errors and will provide you with all bus route information as quickly as possible. We understand the impact this has on your daily routines and your peace of mind, and we are committed to making things right.
Moving forward, we are taking immediate steps to ensure that our communication is clear, accurate, and timely. We are also implementing additional checks and safeguards to prevent this kind of issue from occurring again in the future.
Your trust is important to us, and we are dedicated to restoring it through improved communication, transparency, and an unwavering focus on student safety. We will keep you informed of any further updates, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges. The updated link for bus routes is listed below: https://lancastercsdsc.sites.thrillshare.com/o/safety-transportation/page/safety-transportation-bus-routes
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to the transportation office. We are here to support you and your children every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for entrusting us with the care of your children.
Yours for Excellence in Education,
Raashad Fitzpatrick, Ed.D.
Superintendent
Lancaster County School District

Parents you will receive an email this evening with your child’s bus numbers. If your child is a car rider, you will see a “C” for both morning and afternoon transportation. You can also view your child’s bus numbers by logging into your parent portal account and selecting student reports.
The link below will give you estimated bus pick up times for each bus route. Select your child's school to view the current bus routes.
Please note: Bus routes may vary 15 minutes before or after the scheduled route time. Please have your child out at the bus stop early and expect delays coming home from school for the first few weeks while we work out any issues.
These times are estimated, and routes are subject to change based on service needs of our students. These are general route descriptions of streets covered (every minor road may not be listed).

Please make plans to stop in and meet your teacher Thursday, during Open House. We can’t wait to see you! 🐻

The district has provided a back to school shopping list, for all schools, that can be found on the LCSD's website.
At Erwin, we recommend asking your student's teacher at Open House what they will need. Many of the supplies listed have been donated for your student already.
As a reminder, open house will be Thursday August 8th. Please see our website for additional open house information.

Back to School is around the corner. Check out the Dress Code Policy, Tardy Procedures & Cell Phone Policy information for Elementary & Middle Schools here.

We are excited to see you on August 8th!

It was wonderful seeing new, and familiar, faces tonight at the LCSD’s 4K celebration! Thank you to our teachers, and district staff, for putting together a fun night for everyone.
We cannot wait to have all of our BEARS 🐻 back in the building!

We'd like to welcome Miss Ascione to the Erwin family!
Hi, I’m Gabriella Ascione. I’m originally from Queens, New York. I moved to Fort Mill about 1 year ago and I absolutely love it down here. I graduated from Long Island University with my bachelors and masters in Early Childhood Education/Special Education. This will be my fourth year teaching, and I’m so excited to be a part of Erwin Elementary!💙🐻
