Some of our Health Science students had the opportunity to visit the MUSC Mobile Mammogram unit for a tour on Friday.
The MUSC Health FREE mobile mammo outreach goes until October 11!
If you are: uninsured, 40 years old or older, have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days...

The mobile unit is set up in the parking lot of Big Lots in Lancaster. This is open to anyone. You do not have to live locally. Screening mammograms save lives! If you won't do it for yourself, then do it for those who love you!

Yesterday, October 2, was all about celebrating Ms. Gloria and Ms. Frances! They keep the Career Center looking good and are always there when we need them! We appreciate all they do for us and hope they enjoyed their special day! They received treats and goodies throughout the day!

The new male mentor program at the LCSD Career Center, the Ambush Club, held its first event Sep 26. The topic of the day was goal setting. A shout out goes to Promise Neighborhood for collaborating for this event and interacting with the mentees to ensure their short and long term goals were specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. The Ambush Club stands for: Academics, Manhood, Brotherhood, Unity, Service, Respect, and Honor. This club is all about helping young men that are willing to accept mentorship and implement a plan for successful next steps before high school graduation. If you are interested and are a current student at the Career Center, sign up using the QR code or see the Club advisor Mr. Heyward in room 436. Enjoy your week and be safe!

You will receive eLearning information from your student’s school. ALL events and activities are canceled on Friday, September 27, 2024.
